Shelley Warren teaches fine
arts at the University of Vermont and Castleton State College. An
accomplished sculptor, she holds an MFA degree from Yale University.
She has studied Tibetan art, tangka painting and bronze cast statue
making, with local Nepalese and Tibetan artisans. Shelley has always
had a passion for adventure travel. At age 15 she left home to travel
through Denmark and Sweden on her summer vacation. At 17, she went
to Greece for the first of six visits, ultimately living on the
island of Samos where she created art. By the time she was 18 she
had traveled through Afghanistan to Nepal to trek in the Himalayas.
Art and adventure travel have been a major part of her life that
she shares enthusiastically.

Catherine
Hall is an
art historian and artist who works in many media including painting,
sculpture and installation. Born in England, she has exhibited there
and extensively throughout the eastern United States. She came to
the U.S. on a fellowship for graduate study, earning an MA degree
from the State University of New York and an MFA degree from Norwich
University. She has taught at Trinity College, St. Michael's College,
the University of Vermont, and Vermont College, where she was a
faculty member and Interim Director of the MFA in Visual Art program.
She has received fellowships from the Vermont Arts Council, National
Endowment for the Humanities, Vermont Studio Center and the Ucross
Foundation. Her numerous commissions include an award-winning percent
for art project for the State of Massachusetts. She has taught art
and culture courses in Mexico and Spain, and spends part of every
summer at her family's cottage in Wales.
