Wisdom Tours — Frequently Asked QuestionsHow to Apply
FoodWe offer 3 meals per day and unlimited bottled water. Local ethnic cuisine, continental cuisine and vegetarian meals are available even when we are in the field.
AccommodationsWe make sure that everyone enjoys the accommodations and local hospitality in the unique places that we stay. Attention to detail is part of every Wisdom Tour wherever we stay — former Hindu Palaces, Mediterranean resorts, Buddhist monasteries, Himalayan Inns, British Victorian Inns in India, and even at the base camp of Mt. Everest. We ensure that every detail is carried out to the highest standard available.
TransportationIn Urban areas we use air-conditioned buses and in remote areas our transportation consists of private land cruisers that offer our guests comfort and safety.
SafetySafety is the number one priority on all of our tours. We do not travel to any countries that are listed by the US State Department with a Travel Warning. Every program that we offer is led by either Castleton State College professor Jim Hagan or University of Vermont professor Shelley Warren. We depart and return with each group and accompany them during the entire trip. Our destinations are only countries in which we have lived and traveled during the last 25 years. We provide everyone with an emergency contact list of all hotels with dates and phone numbers so that travelers can be contacted at all times during their trip. We encourage any questions about our tours and safety of our travelers.
HealthWe offer a suggested list of immunizations for each particular country we visit and an optional traveler's insurance policy with trip cancellation and emergency evacuation coverage. Program CostsPlease contact us for current particular program costs. With constant changes in airfare and local economies, program costs vary from year to year. |
